Mixed Green Salad with Apples, Raisins, and Pecans

This Mixed Green Salad with Apples Raisins and Pecans contains all the elements of the classic Waldorf Salad dressed with a red wine vinaigrette.

Remember that new cookbook from my last post with the Creamy Shrimp and Pasta? Well, it also had a suggestion for a wonderful fruited green salad to accompany the shrimp dish.

This is a lovely salad of mixed greens with Gala apples, raisins, and pecans tossed with red wine vinaigrette. Just a great combination of flavors. This salad made a great counterpoint to the creaminess of the shrimp and pasta sauce. And it’s very quick and easy to make.
