Thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting on the Sloppy Joes! I almost didn’t post this one because I thought, “who in the world would want to see that?” Apparently, quite a few people! Ha! Who knew?

To those who have been craving sloppy joes recently, glad I could provide you with a recipe to satisfy that craving.

Lee — I agree that that chef doesn’t know what he’s missing. As I’ve said before I am no food snob. I enjoy all kinds of food from the most elegant right down to, well, sloppy joes!

And Angelia – those sweet potato fries sure sound like a great accompaniment.

That is almost the same as my recipe, I just add a few more spices, its so easy and delish, and great with sweet potato fries!

Recently I heard a famous chef say a Sloppy Joe wasn’t something he would make or eat. He doesn’t know what he’s missing! They are still one of my favorites, especially come Fall.

This is one of the meals that Daddy Bon used to make when I had to work late. Your recipe looks much better than his. He did not put tomato in his so it was like eating a scrambled hamburger with onions & bell pepper. He served it with ketchup, mustard & relish. This and chilli were the two things that he excelled in making. Bless his heart.

I’m glad you put a sloppy joe recipe on your blog. Sometimes, it’s those simple, easy dishes that make us happy. Sloppy Joes are a comfort food to me, and they’re a dish my kids love. (I even put a version on my blog a while back.) These look yummy.

I just made sloppy joes last night and they were delish! I used the leftovers over pasta tonight for sloppy mac. YUM!
