Project 365. A New Year’s resolution to take and post one photo every day during 2010.
2/7/2010. Marina. Today was the first weekend day with sunshine in quite a while, so BeeBop and I went for an afternoon drive. We wandered along the Old Federal Road and came back around to the Lake Lanier Islands Marina. All the slips were full as far as the eye could see. A beautiful day, but too cold to be out on the water!
2/5/2010. Teapots. Sorry I missed the last few days, but I’ve been a little out of commission – see the last post regarding “the cane.” But I’m back up and at ‘em now.
2/1/2010. Day 32 of 365. The Cane. Have you ever had to use one of these helpers? I have an old back injury that flares up every now and then. When that happens I have to take a little help from my cane. It’s been my companion for about a week now and I’m ready for it to go back into the closet already. I appreciate its help, but I’m really tired of it today.

Love the post a pic a day resolution. A is so, so cute, and little Mag is a doll. Too bad they don’t leave closer. I could just get a picture a day of both of them and be happy!
I agree with Brenda – a picture every day is great!
Take care.

Love the pictures. Keep them coming.
I live in Cherokee County in NC, so I know about being snowed in!! When the weather said snow was on it’s way, I just went and grabbed a few things at the grocery, then prepared to do some voracious cooking! It’s just me, so I get to experiment with LOTS of recipes, and my mom and step-dad in Hiawassee gets to enjoy the leftovers! BTW, I am loving your website and the photos you’re taking. I had a photographer tell me to take many, many photos because you never know which one will be the perfect one.
Hello Lana,
Enjoyed visiting your site. Good for you … a photo-a-day.
Pride of place – your new pots. Le Creuset are the best!
Lovely grandchildren and yes, it is incredible, the relationship you have with your husband!
I like the study in cut glass.
Thank you Lee Ann.
While we did indeed play jacks for hours at a time, I admit, you were always better than me. Yep. And, if our knees will allow, I challenge you to a rematch. Just bring on the Tylenol.

I think I could still take you! We’d have to have somebody there to help us both get up off the floor!
Try this. Coat the porch about one inch along the edge where it joins the house, and the door framing, and the sidelight framing with cayenne pepper. Go to Sam’s or Costco and get that whopper size. REALLY POUR IT ON. If that doesn’t do the trick, you can get one of those varmit traps (but I think that squirrels have an internal GPS system and come back when you trap and release).
The next option might be nuclear.

Just going through your photos, Lana. Beautiful. I leave my dining room table set all the time also. Since you enter our house into the dining/kitchen combo room, it is the first thing you see. It looks beautiful “set”, as if ready for whatever guests arrive next. I just change it out for the seasons.
Sprinkle some tabasco on the trim? I’ve never seen a squirrel steal a hot pepper, so it might work!
Hope you are feeling better! Take care.
