A Month of Sundays is a weekly feature on Never Enough Thyme. Each Sunday I try to post a photo of something interesting, beautiful or fun that I’ve seen during the previous week. I hope these posts will help me to improve my photography skills and also keep my readers entertained in between recipes!
Since we moved to north Georgia a few years ago, one of the things BeeBop has become interested in is gem hunting. There are lots of good spots in the mountain creeks where you can find a wide variety of gems. The gems in the photo are just a few of the many he has found on his gem hunting trips. These gems have not been cut or faceted, but have been tumbled so that they are smooth. Included in this group are a ruby, aventurine, emeralds, amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, sodalite, clear quartz and lemon quartz.
