Ingredients
2cupswater
⅛teaspoonsalt
⅔cupquick-cooking steel cut oats
1medium applepeeled and diced
¼cupraisins
¼cupchopped pecans
½teaspooncinnamon
¼cupbrown sugar
¼cuphalf and half or cream
Instructions
Bring the water and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Whisk in the oatmeal. Add the apple, raisins, pecans, and cinnamon. Stir well. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook 5-6 minutes or until the water is mostly absorbed and the oats are tender.
