Heritage Recipes
My heritage recipes are those that are very near and dear to my heart. Many of them are particularly southern in origin and all of them have stood the test of time in my kitchen. They’re among mine and my family’s favorites.
What can you expect to find in this grouping of wonderful recipes? Oh, familiar things like Old Fashioned Southern Teacakes, Shrimp and Grits, Charleston Red Rice, and Pecan Tassies to name a few.
You’ll also find some unusual recipes you may not have heard of before like Chicken Jallop, Streak o’ Lean, and Lacy Cornbread.
Everything in this category is what we southerners call “good eatin'” and I hope you come to love it as much as we do.
