This is a lovely salad of mixed greens with Gala apples, raisins, and pecans tossed with red wine vinaigrette. Just a great combination of flavors. This salad made a great counterpoint to the creaminess of the shrimp and pasta sauce. And it’s very quick and easy to make.

How to Make Mixed Green Salad with Apples Raisins and Pecans

Chop the lettuce and apple.

Salad ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Add to a bowl with the raisins and pecans.

Tossing the salad with red wine vinaigrette.

Dress with this red wine vinaigrette (minus the shallots). Toss and serve!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of mixed greens or chopped Romaine lettuce
  • 1 Gala apple chopped
  • 3 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 tablespoons pecans chopped
  • ¼ cup red wine vinaigrette

Instructions

  • Chop the lettuce and apple.
  • Add to a bowl with the raisins and pecans.
  • Dress with a red wine vinaigrette.
  • Toss and serve.
